Meet Our Spa Providers
Maryanne Robinson, LMT, NCTMB, Reiki Master
I believe in creating a sacred space for people to relax, meditate and completely unwind. Celestial Spa on Cloud 9 is exactly that place. My journey into massage therapy began in 2000 after I graduated from Dove Star Holistic School. From there I continued to add onto my “holistic tool belt” with Belavi Non-Surgical Facelift Massage, Medicupping/Vacuum Mobilzation, Champissage-Indian Head Massage, Lomi-Lomi, Hot Stone Therapy and by becoming a Reiki Master. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to teach Hot Stone Therapy at Dove Star and spread the word on its many benefits. Here, at Celestial Spa, we include hot stones on almost all our services. I am absolutely grateful to be able to provide the space and these beneficial services to everyone that walks through our door.
Juli Hudson, LMT, NCTMB
After working as a chiropractic assistant for several years, I transitioned into massage therapy and graduated from Greenville Technical College in 2005. It is truly a joy to help clients with various conditions and see the difference massage therapy does in their activities of daily living. My certifications in medicupping/vaccum mobilization, hot stone massage, and continuing education in Fibromyalgia are all aimed at helping my clients move and feel better. I am also certified in Bellanina Facelift Massage, an all natural and holistic approach to decrease the appearance of fine lines wrinkles, and tone facial muscles. I am happy to have been providing these services at Celestial Spa since 2009 and look forward to seeing you on the massage table!
Melissa Brady, LMT, NCTMB, Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner, Front Desk Receptionist
Having grown up receiving massages and experiencing its benefits, I became naturally drawn to the holistic healing arts. I finally decided to go to school for Massage Therapy in 2006 and Graduated from the National Massage Therapy Institute in Northern Virginia. Soon after, I received my Traditional Thai Massage Training in 2008, blending my love for massage and yoga into one modality. Having practiced mostly in a medical setting, my approach to massage is similar to my personal yoga practice: results based, emphasizing body awareness balanced with a soothing, therapeutic touch. I am truly honored to be a massage provider for Myrtle Beach
Meredith Orland, LMT, NCTMB
After suffering 2 season ending injuries as a collegiate athlete, I became interested in massage therapy during my rehabilitation process. Upon graduation from Presbyterian College, I attended Midlands Technical College’s Clinical Massage Therapy Program in Columbia, SC. I graduated in 2007 and began my life changing career as a massage therapist. My past experiences as an athlete has given me a keen understanding of muscle pathology and sports injuries, giving my massage practice a strong emphasis on therapeutics. I have attended seminars on orthopaedic massage and incorporate various techniques into each session. I hope to add more certifications in the near future, one of them being medicupping/vacuum mobilization in December 2013. I am passionate about massage therapy and strongly believe that everyone can benefit from it, not just athletes!
Shelby McGee, Front Desk Receptionist
I fell in love with Celestial Spa while I was attending Coastal Carolina University for a four-year degree in marketing. At the time, I did not realize my attachment would soon turn into a career. Before I realized that my talent was centered more in business than medicine, I aspired to become a dermatologist. I am currently in school for Esthetics which is opening my eyes to how much I truly love skincare and helping others to become more familiar with their natural beauty. I am certified in microdermabrasion, exfoliation, and I’ve received the Éminence Master Class Certificate. Although Myrtle Beach is my hometown, I love to travel any chance that I get. I enjoy learning from others and helping others learn.
Catherine Turek, LMT
Amy Swank, LMT, Front Desk Receptionist
As a scholastic athlete, I received shiatsu massage regularly as a teen. I eventually found myself working as a horse trainer for years which then led me into massage therapy. I decided to become a therapist for humans and plan on becoming a certified equine therapist. I enjoy making stress and muscle pain leave your body.
Lisa Marie Balseca, LMT NCBTMB
As an avid cyclist I suffered for years with low back pain and found massage of all treatments the most effective for relief. In 2005, a relocation, placed me in the perfect position to change careers and help others benefit from massage therapy. Graduating from the Alpha Institute of Massage in S. Florida I began my career under the supervision of two well known Physical Therapists and a Dr. of Osteopath. My experience granted me the ability to treat those with chronic and acute conditions of pain, as well as, post surgical care. I have studied many modalities included and not limited to: Deep Tissue, Myo-fascial Release, Movement Therapy, Energy work, Thai and Swe-Thai, NMT, Sport Massage, Trigger Point, Swedish, and Reflexology. I have a true understanding of how the mind, body, and spirit are connected and believe in treating the full person. Specializing in Therapeutic but relaxing modalities I’ve been fortunate to assist many on their path to optimal health. My promise is to tailor each and every massage specifically to the needs of clients at each and every visit. I am grateful to be a part of the team of highly skilled and caring therapists at Celestial Spa helping those that come through our door leave feeling revived, restored, and renewed.
